The house of the future has to make life easier, in all its aspects. The space needs to be available to live within, not in spite of its characteristics. We want to make sure that everything we do in our life adds to it, instead of making it more difficult, especially later in life. THe building itself, either vertical or horizontal, needs an entry and reception area, with enough light and space for access of people and transport means a like.
Open spaces need to be wide enough to allow for interaction between residents: walk around, enjoy the sun, talk to each other.
The common areas per flat will be around 50m2, including a dining/living room and a kitchen and a a full bathroom. Grouped around these common areas there will be different rooms with different functionalities which may be adjusted to the needs of the person using them. Therefore the living space adapts to the person, without having to move.
